Other Campaigns

Our federation participates only in the national Combined Federal Campaign. However, many states, municipalities, and public institutions – such as state universities and non-profit hospitals – have followed the U.S. government’s lead in establishing workplace campaigns.

Our sister federation, Partners for a Better World, enters many of these other public-sector fund drives, and members of our federation are invited to affiliate with Partners for this purpose.

Though these campaigns are much smaller than the CFC, they offer significant financial support. Most operate very much like the CFC: Each has its own application, its own eligibility standards, and its own schedule. Most state and municipal campaigns require that participating groups be registered with the relevant state – and this registration often involves a fee. We recommend that organizations weigh the potential benefits of a campaign against the time and expense involved in participating.

To help groups evaluate these opportunities, our Campaign Calendar lists these various opportunities by application deadlines, and it consolidates information so that each organization can make informed decisions about participation. The calendar is maintained by the Workplace Giving Alliance, as part of our commitment to helping not-for-profits enter every campaign that will benefit them.
